WAXING POLICIES
Is this your first waxing experience? Often people are nervous about waxing their first time, we understand. We have been in your shoes! We love waxing! We do our best effort to help you relax and do take necessary steps to minimize pink skin after waxing. Most people are only pink a few hours, but people new to waxing may stay pink longer. We will give you home care advice and, in some cases, recommend home care products. It is up to you to follow through.
Rest assured we practice sanitary waxing practices and NEVER double dip!
We use different types of wax based on the body part being waxed. All wax used is very high quality with natural ingredients.
We do have a few requirements for our clients:
You must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18 years old, your parent will need to come with you and sign a parent waiver. They must stay with you in the room at the first visit.
There needs to be a minimum of 1/4” to 1/2” hair growth. This means that if you previously shaved or waxed the area, you need to wait 3 to 4 weeks. This is because hair grows in different cycles. You want to allow for enough hair to surface in order to get it out. If the hair is too short, the wax will not form around the hair to allow it to come out. We recommend you come in every 4 weeks to be waxed to get the best results. Plus, if you stick to a schedule there will be less hair each time and it won’t hurt as much.
For brows and face waxing, please do not tweeze or shave any hairs 14 days prior to waxing. Please do not use any retinols, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acids, salicylic acids 7 days prior to waxing. If using Accutane, Retin-A, Renova, Tri-Luma or Hydroquinone, we will not wax you. Waxing can be harmful to the skin with these or other medications, so please tell your Waxologist about any medications you are taking. Please do not touch your face after waxing. Your fingers and hands are dirty, so it can cause the skin to get irritated.
For Brazilian waxing, it is best to wear loose clothing for 24 hours after waxing.
We are only trained for Female Brazilian waxing. Sorry no Male Brazilian waxing!
As for Post-waxing instructions, we do not recommend going to the gym, beach or getting in the pool/jacuzzi, going on vacation, or having a big event, getting tattooed within 3 days after waxing. The water often has bacteria and can cause the skin to get irritated. Excessive sweating and the heat of the sun can cause the skin to get irritated. The hair follicles need time to calm down.
Cancellation Policy:
When you sign our client intake form, you are agreeing to our cancellation policy.
We require a 48-hour minimum notice. If you suddenly get your period, that does not mean you are EXEMPT from the cancellation policy. We can still wax you. We charge the full amount of the service booked for cancellations and no shows with less than 48-hours of notice.
